 pianist
I fell in love with the piano at the age of three, well before I knew what falling in love meant.  As young as I was, I remember that pressing the keys with my little fingers and hearing the sounds I made seemed magical to me then.  Now that I am older, playing the piano and making music has lost none of its magic.  I love performing for an audience.  Yes, there is always the jittery anticipation, the nervous pacing, and internal pep talks before a performance.  But then, walking onto the stage and sitting at the piano bring a feeling of joy as musician and instrument come together to colour the air with sound.  At that moment, all I can think of is to play the music as well as I possibly can for my audience and to honour the composer.  Performing the music I love and sharing it with as many people as possible is something I hope to be able to do for the rest of my life.

“Ah, music!  A magic beyond all we do here!”
